FAQ


* How can I see all of the courses I have registered for?

To find all of your courses please go to the main page of the site. You can always do this by clicking on the top banner. Once you are on the main page look for MY PAGE under the banner (this will be all the way to the left hand side of the page).  Click on MY PAGE. This will take you to your profile page. Please scroll down and you will find all of your free and paid for classes along the header MY GROUPS.  If you have a lot of classes you may need to click on VIEW ALL to see the complete list.

* What is an e-course?

 

An e-course in an online class. The class is held on this website. There is a private classroom that only people that have registered for the course can access. All videos are pre-recorded and you can watch them at your convenience. All new purchases as of 1/5/2015 have lifetime access (as long as we manage this site). 

If you can't access the course make sure you have clicked +join on the course main page. If you see the +invite that means you are in the classroom.  If you are on the class page you will find the videos along the right hand side of the page under "course content".

* When will we receive the login and password information to access the course?

Because you have registered for the course on this site...you already have all of the  passwords etc. when you signed up.  No additional password is provided or needed.   The course content will be available on the day the course begins.

* Am I allowed to share my login and password with friends?

No. We have priced this our courses very reasonably and we have worked very hard to give you a beautiful and inspiring course full of content. We would love to have your friends join us the proper way by registering. Thank you for honoring this request. We also promise to respect you by honoring the time and money you have spent for the course by giving you a beautiful finished product.

 

* What if I miss a week?  Will I be able to catch up?

Yes!  All videos are pre-recorded and available to watch at your convenience. 

 

*Do I need to be at the computer at a certain time to see a lesson?

No.  None of our videos are live.  We do like to schedule live "chats" in the forum during the course.  If you miss this time slot you will still be able to read all the discussions on the website.

 

*What kind of internet and computer do I need to have to have the most success with the course?

To get the most out of the class you need to have a high speed internet connection and newer computer or mobile device that is equipped to stream video off of the internet.

 

*Am I able to watch the videos from my ipad?

Yes, our videos are ipad compatible.

 

*I live outside the United States.  Am I able to sign up?

YES!  We would love to have you.  We have people signed up from all over the world.

* The site says that all courses are lifetime but some of my courses have expired.  Do I need to repurchase the class? 

We started creating online courses over 6 years ago when industry standard was 3-6 months course access. Over the years we went to one year access, then two years and now lifetime access.   

When we knew we wanted to give lifetime* access to our members we raised the prices a small amount to account for the access changes and made all new purchases lifetime as of 1/5/2015. We love and honor our members so much and we never wanted any member to have to repurchase a course even if they took that course 6 years ago when we were on Kajabi and the course access was 3 months. At that same time, we offered all of our members with expired courses (even from 6 years ago) to upgrade any course that they have ever taken (on Kajabi or Ning) for $10.  There is no way for us upgrade all expired courses so this has to be a manual process. If we get an upgrade request we have to search payment history and account history, we manually upgrade and then we send an invoice. This takes time and staff. If you choose to pay the $10 upgrade fee you are never paying more for your course than the current lifetime price of that same course (this is including your purchase price + $10 upgrade fee). In fact, with most courses, you are still below the current cost. 

This was the fairest way we could honor our members and also provide the staff needed to handle all of the emails we manage daily for upgrades.  If you have any questions about this policy please email us at contact@jeanneoliverdesigns.com. And as ALWAYS...if you purchased a course anywhere near (within 60 days) the date when we made courses lifetime we will upgrade those courses at no charge. 

If you are seeing that any of your courses have expired you purchased the course before we raised the price and made it lifetime access. Classes were only made lifetime (and the price was increased) for all new purchases as of 1/5/2015.  We have offered all students the opportunity to upgrade any previous course to lifetime for $10 each. Please let us know if you are interested in this. You can email us at contact@jeanneoliverdesigns.com and we will manually upgrade your account and send you an invoice.

* I can't get the videos to play

If you're having difficulty watching the videos try these tips:

  1. Videos require and up-to-date Adobe Flash player.  Get yours here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
  2. Click off the HD on the videos
  3. Please close out all other open windows on your computer
  4. Try a different browser.  Our videos have been verified working with:
  • Firefox (Windows and Mac)
  • Internet Explorer (Windows)
  • Google Chrome (Windows, Mac and Android [4.1.2] tablet)
  • Safari (Mac, iPad and iPhone)

* How can I access the content to my course?

Having trouble finding the group or getting to the content?  Follow these steps to get there:


1. Return to the main page by clicking the big banner at the top of this page.

2. Scroll down to COURSES on the left-hand side and click the course you are interested in or have paid for. Click "view all" if you are not seeing your course.

  • If you see a +Invite button, you're in - go to step 3.
  • If you see a +Join button, click it to join the group, pay and you are instantly in the classroom. You do not need to wait for a password to get started.

3.The course content is located under the COURSE CONTENT section on the right hand side.

*  How can I get a refund?

If you choose to not take a course before the online class has begun we would be happy to offer you store credit to another class or towards product in our shop.  If the class has begun there are no credits based upon the nature of the digital content.  If your class has not started please email us at contact@jeanneoliverdesigns.com and we would be happy to give you a credit to use at a future date.

Lori, thank you for your message. It appears you accidentally had a spelling mistake when you set up your account.  This is not something we can change for you. Hello. I wanted to brush up on Danielle Donaldson's Creative Girl course, but when I sign in it says that my membership has expired yet the class is suppose to have unlimited lifetime access. Can someone help me please?

I am with Holly Hildebrand I am a Mac user and have had no problems with my iPad or iMac even with the upgrades. There was just one occasion on my iPad that I got a message regarding privacy issues with the video but it was not a permanent issue a few minutes later it was fine.

I am an Apple user and have had no issues, upgrades and all.  The only thing I must do if it I get a video that won't play is go to the COURSE CONTENT on each of my courses pages and then the VIEW ALL for that course.  If I access the course videos from that pages link there are no issues.  Hope that helps...

Debbie, thank you for your message.  This is an issue with the Apple upgrade and it is a bug.  Please try the Puffin Browser because this is Apple's fix right now as they work on the bug.  You will be able to watch on all of your Apple products.
