Hi, I am a mixed media artist/painter. I have been practicing art for many years now. I have taken several classes online and a few art classes in college. I have a good knowledge of mixed media art techniques and art theory basics, but still struggle with finding my own style and voice. When I look at my art I like it but I don't feel a deep connection with it. I feel it does not have a common thread or that if a stranger looked at it they would not know it came from the same artist. Hope this makes some sense. I am wondering if you can recommend a class or two to help me with this. I was thinking of taking the Reflections class and the upcoming Wild Awakening - do these 2 classes make sense based on what I described above or is there another class or 2 you would recommend? Thanks for any advice.
Hello Jeanne, I signed up for the Painterly Portraits class and have viewed a few so far. I have been traveling so it will take me a while to complete the course. I have tried to log on to the class but I can't find where to sign in and continue my classes. Is there a certain website that I need to sign in to? I have tried bookmarking the class, but it does not bookmark. Very frustrating. Please advise me...Thank You... Patricia
I have been unable to access the class I am taking with Stephanie Lee, the message says the social network is under maintenance, and should be working shortly, well it's been all day. I go through the link you sent me after I paid. is there another way to access it?
I'm so inspired by what you're doing. I've been a professional Graphic Designer for over 20 years, working for big companies like Nike, Johnson&Johnson, Target, etc... I also teach online Graphic Design for the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. It's been a great career, but I started feeling less connected to my own early years as an artist. Too much computer time and stress, and not enough seeing and creating. My 2 beautiful kids are now graduating college, and I'm searching for a path to bring me back to my own vision of the world. I friend recommended the photography class as she is a friend of the instructor. Thank you for the opportunity to continue to grow and learn.
Thank you for sharing you, your expertise, your passion & creativity! I have just discovered you & your courses through a friend of mine. I've been so inspired by the Art of Becoming!! & Im excited to start the other courses too!!
Jeanne, I hope you got my email saying THANK YOU for the very generous gift of art supplies for the kids of the Recovery Church in St. Paul. They are SO appreciated & will be put to good use by our group of very special, awesome kids. You are such a gift to this world. Thank you again for the donation but even more for your loving & generous spirit!
Just wanted to tell you that I am astounded at the amount of work, time, passion, and energy you and all of your teachers have put into this course. Since I am self taught, the knowledge I am gaining about each and every artist's technique is wonderful. Thanks again - Happy New Year. Alexis
I have to tell you something.... I was just listening to your last video. The one where you encourage us to put ourselves out there... to interact with others and to share our art. Well, Chris walked in while I was watching it... he gave me a nudge with his shoulder, raised his eyebrows, nodded his head to the computer screen and uttered one word "See." Yes I actually stuck my tongue out at you.... This is the very thing he has been telling me for some time and yes I've been my own worst enemy.
Thank you for the encouragement... even if now it only adds fuel to the fire. ha ha!
Tell Maddie thanks for the how to video! What a cute idea for package ties! Going to get to work right away so I have some lengths ready to go. I learned to crochet at about her age and still enjoy a project now and then.
Hi Jeanne! I loved the video "Your Home's Potential" so much! I love that you repurposed your dining room as your studio! I am looking for the perfect gray for my family room, and I love the color of your walls. Do you mind to share the name of the paint? Thanks!
